Course content will include geometrical concepts in both two- and three – dimensions as well as analytical and deductive reasoning along with a study of the nature of proofs, lines, planes, angles, triangles, congruences, geometric inequalities, perpendicularity, and parallelism. Various quadrilaterals, parallel lines and planes, polygonal regions and areas, similarity, and constructions are also studied. Coordinate geometry is introduced as a tool for proving geometric theorems. As time permits some system of finite geometry will be investigated. Next course: Algebra II or Algebra II Honors
